Accountability
We take ownership of our work, communicate throughout the process, and follow through on our commitments.
Certifications & Training
Qualified to Handle What Others Can't
Our team holds industry-leading certifications and licenses so you never have to wonder if the people in your home are qualified. Every technician is trained to IICRC standards, and our firm is fully licensed, bonded, and insured — giving you peace of mind from the first call to the final walkthrough.
IICRC Certified Firm
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) sets the standard for the restoration industry. As a certified firm, we follow IICRC protocols for water damage mitigation, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire and smoke restoration.
CA Licensed Contractor
We hold a California Contractor License, which means we are legally authorized to perform reconstruction and remodeling work in addition to mitigation. Many restoration companies stop at cleanup — we can take your property all the way through to finished reconstruction.
Insurance Claim Documentation
Our team is experienced working alongside insurance adjusters and understands what documentation is needed to support a claim. We provide detailed moisture readings, photo documentation, scope of work reports, and drying logs that meet carrier requirements.
Ongoing Technician Training
The restoration industry evolves — new materials, new equipment, new standards. Our technicians participate in ongoing training to stay current on best practices for water extraction, structural drying, odor control, and biohazard remediation.
San Diego Roots
We Live and Work in the Communities We Serve
5 Star Flood Response is a locally owned and operated company based in San Diego. We're not a national franchise dispatching crews from out of the area — we're your neighbors. Our team lives in San Diego County, and we take pride in serving the community we call home. When you call us, you're supporting a local business that is invested in the long-term health and safety of this city.
What Happens After You Call
Here's What You Can Expect From Us
Fast Response
We answer calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After you call, we'll confirm your location, ask a few quick questions about the situation, and dispatch a crew. Our goal is to be on-site as quickly as possible — because the sooner we arrive, the less damage spreads.
On-Site Assessment
When our team arrives, we'll do a thorough walkthrough of the affected areas. We use moisture meters, thermal imaging, and visual inspection to understand the full scope of damage — including areas that may not be visible to the eye.
Clear Communication
Before we start any work, we'll explain what we found, what we recommend, and what the process looks like. We'll answer your questions, walk you through the scope of work, and make sure you understand what's happening at every stage.
Professional Mitigation
Our crew gets to work immediately — extracting water, setting up drying equipment, containing affected areas, and beginning the remediation process. We document everything as we go to support your insurance claim.
Ongoing Updates
We don't disappear after the first day. We monitor drying progress, check in with you regularly, and keep you informed throughout the process. If anything changes, you'll hear from us — not the other way around.
Reconstruction if Needed
Once mitigation is complete, our licensed contractor team can handle full reconstruction — drywall, flooring, painting, and finish work. One company, one point of contact, from emergency response through final walkthrough.
